Is the AquaYouth 2.0 shower filter certified by the NSF?

Yes, this shower filter has been tested and certified by the NSF, which is the leading authority for water safety. The AquaYouth 2.0 is only 1 of 8 shower filters on the market that are certified by the NSF. This system has been tested according to NSF/ANSI 177 for reduction of free available chlorine and NSF/ANSI 372 for low lead content verification.

Below is a list of all contaminants that we have tested with the AquaYouth 2.0 shower filter.

Reduction Rates:

  • Chlorine: 99%
  • Iron: 100%
  • Mercury: 100%
  • Lead: 63%
  • Copper: 33%
  • Bacteria: Prevents bacterial growth

While the AquaYouth 2.0 shower filter has the ability to reduce much more than what is listed above, as a matter of company policy, we only publish reduction claims for contaminants that we've tested for using established industry standards. Testing is quite expensive, so at the moment, we've only tested the most common problematic contaminants.

In the future, we may conduct more tests if our customers have enough interest in a certain contaminant.
